Two Bears and a Boy
On Saturday Rich was sleeping after his graveyard shift and Jack was hanging out with his friends, so Tucker and I went to the zoo and walked a bazillion miles. Our highlights involved several bears. Tucker took this picture, and told his dad "just when I was taking the picture the bear looked up at me and smiled!"
My highlight was this panda, chilling in the shade with his bamboo.
Here's Tucker kicking it with some birds.
Here he is riding the skyfari back to the front of the zoo. He was too tired to walk anymore!
Here he is on the way out, when his energy picked up long enough to get a souvenir penny and spend his allowance at the zoo store.
On the way back, we went through the In-N-Out drive thru. You can order a burger there "protein style" and they skip the bun and wrap it in lettuce which makes for a nice occasional primal treat. They hand out paper hats to the kids, and here's Tucker sporting his.
We had a blast, and it was nice to have some rare one-on-one time with my little guy, especially since his brother is about to turn sixteen and most of the attention will be on him next weekend.
On Sunday the whole family went on an excursion to the comic book store- our idea of quality family time - and a good time was had by all!

looks like you two had a great time together. As Jack gets older you'll probably get way more time alone with Tucker. Teenagers seem to be alergic to their mothers.
Tucker looks like he is a ton of fun to go to the zoo with! Jack is growing up fast. 16? A couple of more years he will be 18 and out of high school, then 21. And then? Wow! Time is flying.
